For AfriCat's projects to be sound and effectively supervised, AfriCat relies on and values qualified people in their field to fully assist in the running of its programmes.

Essential Salaries are needed for Lion Guards, a Research Veterinarian and an Environmental Education Teachers Salary.

1. The AfriCat Lion Guards - Keepers of the Wilderness
These dedicated community members are elected by their Conservancies, essentially carrying the message of Conservation from the highest authorities to the farmer.
German, Jackson, Titus and Kandavii encourage and guide communal farmers to adopt the AfriCat Livestock Protection programme, identify priority villages for kraal-building, patrol fences, monitor & report poaching and other illegal activities.

2. Research Veterinarian
The AfriCat veterinarian supervises and ensures scientifically sound 'Large Carnivore Research Projects', manages and monitors the animals at our AfriCat Carnivore Care Centre and supports farming communities in conflict zones.
Dr. Rodenwoldt and a number of other veterinary specialists, support Team AfriCat in achieving the ultimate goal for wild felines, canines and herbivores in terms of conservation, education, veterinary care and research. AfriCat’s large carnivore research Projects have been taken to another level with a qualified 'Research Veterinarian' on board. Present and future projects are now scientifically sound and effectively supervised, contributing to the long-term survival of these species.

3. Environmental Education Teacher's Salary
"There is no Relevant Education without Environmental Education." Fortunately more and more people are realizing the absolute necessity of Environmental Education and our programme is becoming better known and more sought after. Consequently we are reaching more young people and teachers which in essence is the main goal of the project. Naturally this programme cannot run effectively without passionate leadership.
