VISIT KAVITA
Kavita Lion Lodge, home to AfriCat North, is situated 40 kilometres north of Kamanjab on a private 22 500-acre game ranch bordering Etosha National Park and Damaraland / Kaokoland in north-western Namibia.

Guests staying at Kavita are invited to visit the AfriCat North Environmental Education Centre for detailed information on AfriCat programmes, as well as rewarding sightings and photographic opportunities at the lion sanctuary, home to a number of rescued lions. Excursions to AfriCat North’s Community Support Programme can be pre-arranged. Enjoy our game-drives as well as guided nature and birding trails on the ranch; or simple spend some quiet time with the sights and sounds of Africa close by.

Tailor-made eco-ethno safaris into the wilderness areas of Damaraland and Kaokoland, Epupa Falls and Etosha, can also be pre-arranged.

The lodge accommodates 16 guests in African-style thatched chalets, each with a private veranda overlooking the acacia savannah. Families are also welcome, accommodated in the garden oasis and close to the pool.

The evening boma with its open fire welcomes the weary traveler and dinner is served in a thatched dining lapa.
